Besides, he has been doing pioneering work in Children with special needs such as Specific Learning Disability (Dyslexia), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), conducting training programme for teachers in Schools in South India besides Tamil Nadu on LD and ADHD. Conducting Effective Parenting programmes in leading schools in Chennai and Tamil Nadu. Prepared a Teacher Counsellor manual to train teachers in Counselling students in their schools.

She has been a Faculty in Psychology / Special Education for the past 10 years. She is involved in teaching, training and research in Psychology. Besides she is involved in the Psychological and Behavioural assessment of children. She has developed a comprehensive tool to assess and diagnose Specific Learning Disability (SLD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children which is the first in our region.

Besides, she offers Counselling for parents/ care givers of these children. She is part of a team in screening of SLD in School Children in different parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karnataka. She is a resource person for imparting IEP training for the Certificate course in SLD programme for teachers organised by Care Institute of Behavioural Sciences in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
